Joanneke Maitz
Dr. Joanneke Maitz is a surgeon-scientist in burns, plastics and reconstructive surgery with a strong focus in skin tissue engineering. Dr. Maitz work in the Burns Unit of Concord Repatriation General Hospital and leads the Burns & Reconstructive Surgery Research Group at the ANZAC Research Institute, Sydney, NSW. She is a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney. Her research work focuses on translational clinical and laboratory-based projects in bioengineering in burns treatment and reconstructive surgery, aimed at bridging clinical, scientific and commercial fields.
